Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has expressed his thoughts on some Arsenal fans getting carried away as the Gunners moved to the top of the Premier League after a late victory against Brentford.

The match ended 2-1 in Arsenal’s favor at the Emirates Stadium, with Kai Havertz scoring the winning goal. This win propelled Arsenal above Liverpool and Manchester City in the league standings.

Following a 1-1 draw between Manchester City and Liverpool, Arsenal remained at the top of the table with a better goal difference compared to Liverpool. Man City now sits one point behind the leaders as the race intensifies with only ten games left in the season.

Speaking on the Vibe With Five show, Ferdinand shared that he wants Arsenal to win the league but some Arsenal fans’ behavior makes him rethink his support.

“There are three teams playing now to win the league which is Liverpool, Man City and Arsenal – I actually want you boys to win it,” Ferdinand told Arsenal fan and host Joel Beya on Vibe With Five.

“But you and some of your fans make me not want you to win it.”

Co-host Stephen Howson also echoed Ferdinand’s sentiments, suggesting that as a Manchester United supporter, he would rather see other teams like City or Liverpool win the title due to the conduct of some Arsenal fans.

Looking ahead, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is rallying the fans to bring their support and energy as they face Porto in the Champions League to overturn a one-goal deficit. Arteta emphasized the importance of maintaining control on the pitch and adapting to the challenges presented by elite competition like the Champions League.

Arteta urged the Arsenal fans to bring their noise and energy to the stadium for the crucial match against Porto, emphasizing the impact their support can have on the team’s performance. He highlighted the opportunity for fans to create a memorable atmosphere and rally behind the team as they aim to make a mark in the Champions League after a long absence from the quarter-finals.
