UEFA recently announced the plans for the Champions League quarter-final and semi-final draw, as teams gear up for the upcoming matches. Manchester City, aiming to secure a spot in the final and defend their European title, currently hold a 3-1 aggregate lead going into their second-leg clash with FC Copenhagen. With the likes of Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden contributing goals, City is hoping to qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition.

As Manchester City pushes towards their third Champions League Final in four years, they are also in contention for last season’s treble. In the Premier League title race, they are just one point behind Liverpool and face a tough match at Anfield. Additionally, City will be competing against Newcastle United in the Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals.

The draw for the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals is set to take place on Friday, March 15th, 2024, at 11 am (UK time). Following the quarter-final draw, the semi-final draw will also occur on the same day, with both draws broadcasted live on TNT Sports and streamed on the UEFA website. For updates and coverage, City Xtra will provide live updates on their social media platforms and YouTube channel.

The quarter-final matches are scheduled for April 9th and 10th for the first-leg ties, and April 16th and 17th for the second-leg ties. As for the semi-finals, the first-leg matches will take place on April 30th and May 1st, with the second-leg matches scheduled for May 7th and 8th.

Manchester City could potentially face English opposition in the quarter-final or semi-final stages, as competing clubs are no longer restricted from playing teams in their domestic league. The potential opponents for Manchester City and FC Copenhagen include Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid or RB Leipzig, Arsenal or Porto, Barcelona or Napoli, Atletico Madrid or Inter Milan, and Borussia Dortmund or PSV.
