Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is known for his strong support and communication with the Club’s Women’s manager Gareth Taylor.
Both managers work closely together at the City Football Academy headquarters near the Etihad Stadium, with the Manchester City teams aiming for success in their respective league competitions this season.
Manchester City’s men’s team is competing for a fourth successive Premier League title, facing tough competition from Arsenal and Liverpool in the English top-flight.
On the other hand, Manchester City Women, under Gareth Taylor, are battling it out with Chelsea for the Barclays Women’s Super League title, with only a two-goal difference separating the two teams at the top of the division.
Before Manchester City Women’s important match against Manchester United Women at the Etihad Stadium, the close relationship between the first-team managers at the City Football Academy has been highlighted.
Speaking exclusively to talkSPORT this week, Gareth Taylor talked about his bond with Pep Guardiola and the regular communication between the two coaches.
“He’s very supportive. He sends me lots of voice notes, and we exchange messages to celebrate each other’s successes. We meet occasionally, and he even takes time to speak to some of the players,” Taylor shared.
He added, “Despite his busy schedule and multiple competitions, he’s been generous with his time and support since I took on this role.”
While Pep Guardiola and his men’s team are currently on an international break, they will soon return to training at the City Football Academy to prepare for an exciting match against Arsenal.
