Norway’s team doctor has shed light on Manchester City striker Erling Haaland’s fitness concerns following an incident during training on Tuesday.

A video from a recent international training session with the Norway squad captured the 23-year-old Manchester City forward limping and unable to complete the session.

Norway is scheduled to play friendly matches against the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the coming weeks, with both Haaland and Oscar Bobb potentially featuring for Stale Solbakken’s team.

Haaland has faced injury issues this season, missing 12 matches for Manchester City due to a foot problem between December and January. He also had to sit out crucial Premier League games and the FIFA Club World Cup campaign.

During the FA Cup quarter-final against Newcastle United, Haaland had to be substituted for Julian Alvarez in the 87th minute after holding his shoulder with discomfort.

With 29 goals in 34 appearances for Manchester City this season, Haaland is a key player in the team’s quest to replicate last season’s success.

City, just one point behind in the Premier League, have progressed into the FA Cup semi-finals and Champions League quarter-finals, facing Chelsea and Real Madrid respectively.

Pep Guardiola’s team will also take on Arsenal and Aston Villa in quick succession after the international break.

Guardiola is dealing with injuries to Ederson and Kevin De Bruyne, but the team doctor from Norway has reassured that there are no fitness concerns for Haaland.

An interview relayed by Sam Lee with Norwegian TV outlet TV2 confirms that despite limping during training, Haaland is not facing any issues according to the team doctor.

Ederson will miss the Arsenal clash due to a muscular problem, while De Bruyne’s groin injury has ruled him out of the Belgium squad.

Jack Grealish, the England star, has also been excluded from Gareth Southgate’s squad for Wembley friendlies due to recent injury concerns.
