Pep Guardiola is expected to receive good news regarding Kevin De Bruyne’s fitness ahead of Manchester City’s match against Arsenal this weekend.

The Belgium international was sidelined from his national team’s recent friendly matches due to a minor injury sustained during City’s draw with Liverpool. This also caused him to miss the FA Cup quarter-final against Newcastle.

De Bruyne has been training at the City Football Academy over the past two weeks, working on his fitness and recovering from the injury to ensure he is ready for the crucial matches ahead.

With most of the team away on international duty, De Bruyne has been training with Jack Grealish and some reserves to stay sharp. This extra work has put him in a good position for the match against Arsenal as City aim for another Premier League title.

According to reports from Daily Star’s Jeremy Cross, De Bruyne participated in a full training session with the Elite Development Squad on Tuesday, indicating he is likely to start against Arsenal.

Manchester City will resume training on Thursday in preparation for the upcoming fixtures in April, which includes important matches in the FA Cup, Champions League, and Premier League. Guardiola will provide updates on the squad’s fitness in his press conference on Friday.

The depth of the squad will be crucial in City’s pursuit of success this season, requiring all players to be at their best to challenge for multiple trophies.
