Reports suggest that City Football Academy head coach Glenn van der Kraan may be making a return to Feyenoord this summer.

Manchester City is preparing for another potential departure from their backroom staff, following several recent exits from various departments within the club. This includes Omar Berrada’s decision to leave his role at the Etihad Stadium to become the new CEO of Manchester United.

Pep Guardiola has also seen first-team assistant Enzo Maresca depart for Leicester City last summer, along with Rodolfo Borrell leaving to become Sporting Director at MLS side Austin FC.

Recent changes have also taken place at Manchester City’s academy, with Joe Shields and Jason Wilcox leaving their senior roles within the City Football Academy set-up.

This summer, Head of Academy Coaching Glenn van der Kraan may also be leaving the CFA to potentially return to Feyenoord in Holland, as part of the Dutch club’s plans for a summer overhaul.

Reports suggest that Eredivisie giants Feyenoord are considering Van der Kraan as a replacement for Rini Coolen, the current Head of Training who is expected to leave at the end of the season.

Van der Kraan has reportedly been identified as a potential replacement candidate in Rotterdam, having previously left Feyenoord to join the City Football Academy in 2020.

The Dutchman made the move to England nearly four years ago, taking up the role of Head of Coaching at the CFA as part of an extensive Academy revamp, as reported by Training Ground Guru.

Upon his appointment at Manchester City, Van der Kraan expressed: “I was honored with the offer from Manchester City, but at the same time had mixed feelings. The last 10 years have been an education and we have succeeded in establishing a good foundation for the entire Academy at Feyenoord. I will bring that experience with me to Manchester City. This is a great opportunity I’ll seize with both hands.”
