Insight into Training Ground Rumors about Jack Grealish
Manchester City reporter Simon Bajkowski from the Manchester Evening News has shared information about training ground rumors concerning forward Jack Grealish.
This season has been challenging for the England international forward, facing limited game time and injury issues both at City and Aston Villa.
To earn his place back in Manchester City’s attack, Grealish had to work harder on the training ground, especially after being on the sidelines for a while.
However, his comeback was short-lived due to a groin injury during a match against Copenhagen, which resurfaced in his second appearance against Luton Town in the FA Cup.
Guardiola has hinted that Grealish needs to improve his training performances to secure a spot in the starting line-up, leading to speculation about his standing within the team.
In a recent Q&A session with the Manchester Evening News, Bajkowski addressed rumors about Grealish being in Guardiola’s ‘bad faces’ list based on training ground performance.
“I haven’t found any evidence to support this claim. Grealish has every right to be frustrated with how his season has unfolded,” clarified Bajkowski.
Describing Grealish as a complete professional, Bajkowski dismissed the notion of him having any disciplinary issues at the club.
Guardiola values positive behavior on the training ground, which has influenced the departure of some players in the past.
Joao Cancelo is the most recent player affected by Guardiola’s standards, leading to his loan move to Bayern Munich and subsequent transfer to Barcelona.
Cancelo’s future at City seems uncertain, with the club open to offers during the upcoming transfer window.
