Despite the setback, Luiz was able to continue his development and has since become a successful player at Aston Villa, attracting interest from top European clubs such as Arsenal. Some speculate that Manchester City may come back in for Luiz, as they once saw him as a potential star for their squad under Pep Guardiola.
