Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola may be in for a surprise from Bernardo Silva, as the Portugal international discovered a Jack Grealish doppelganger this week.
The versatile playmaker from Manchester City is currently on a break from his duties with the Premier League champions to represent his country in upcoming international friendlies before the European Championships this summer.
During a press conference with the Portuguese national team, Bernardo Silva and Vitória star Jota Silva shared some light-hearted moments with the media.
In the press conference with Jota Silva, Bernardo Silva jokingly mentioned that he would send a selfie to Jack Grealish and tease Pep Guardiola about the resemblance between Grealish and Jota Silva’s haircut.
“I’ll send a selfie to Jack (Grealish) and maybe I’ll take Jota (Silva) with me to Manchester to fool (Pep) Guardiola,” Bernardo Silva joked. “There are indeed similarities, it’s quite funny. After the press conference, I will send a photo to Jack.”
Jack Grealish is currently working towards full match fitness during the international break, as advised by Pep Guardiola and England manager Gareth Southgate.
Grealish suffered consecutive groin injuries against FC Copenhagen in the UEFA Champions League and Luton Town in the FA Cup fifth round. It is believed that he returned too soon for the latter match.
With crucial fixtures ahead for Manchester City in all competitions, Pep Guardiola and his staff will rely on Jack Grealish to make a significant impact during the latter part of the season.
