Plans for the next stage of the Emirates FA Cup have been confirmed, with Manchester City or Newcastle United set to discover their opponents for the semi-finals this weekend. Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will face Eddie Howe’s Newcastle in a bid to continue their quest to retain last season’s treble by booking their place in the FA Cup semi-finals. City has won both Premier League meetings against Newcastle this season but were eliminated from the Carabao Cup at the fourth round stage in September.

City has defeated Huddersfield Town, Tottenham, and Luton Town to reach the last-eight of the competition, while Newcastle overcame Blackburn Rovers in the fifth round to set up a quarter-final clash at the Etihad Stadium. In the last round, Manchester City demolished Luton at Kenilworth Road, winning 6-2 after Erling Haaland scored five goals for the team.

The Emirates FA Cup semi-final draw will take place on Sunday, March 17, and will be broadcast live on ITV1 for viewers in the United Kingdom. The semi-final matches will be played on April 20th or 21st at Wembley Stadium. If Manchester City advances to the next round, their Premier League fixture with Tottenham Hotspur will be rescheduled.

Manchester City or Newcastle will be ball number 4 in the semi-final draw and could potentially face Coventry City, Manchester United or Liverpool, and Chelsea or Leicester City in the Emirates FA Cup semi-finals. Live updates and coverage of the draw will be provided by City Xtra on their social media platforms and YouTube channel.
