Former Manchester City defender Bacary Sagna had high praise for his former teammate Kevin De Bruyne, calling him a “magician” and the best player in the league. De Bruyne’s return to the team after a five-month absence due to a hamstring injury has made a significant impact. Sagna expressed his surprise at how quickly De Bruyne was able to make an impact and praised his overall skill set.
Sagna compared De Bruyne to another former teammate, Santi Cazorla, and stated that he has never seen a player as talented as them in his playing career. He highlighted their ability to light up a game and considered them to be “pure artists” in the way they utilized the ball.
While De Bruyne and Haaland are not yet at 100% fitness, their return to the team after lengthy spells on the sidelines has given hope to City supporters that they can compete for another Premier League title. City’s recent winning streak has also added to the optimism surrounding the team’s title challenge.
Looking ahead, City will face Everton at home this weekend, and their fans will be hoping for another victory to continue their momentum in the title race.
