Man City handed fresh Erling Haaland injury blow as prolific striker ruled out of Luton clash

Sky Sports also report that Haaland has been playing with a stress fracture in his foot for the past few weeks. It’s understood he will finally be sidelined to allow time for it to recover.

There does not appear to be a timeframe for how long the Norwegian will be injured for. This was confirmed by Guardiola, who broke the bad news before his side’s clash at Kenilworth Road.

Haaland’s absence is one of several for City currently. Kevin De Bruyne remains a long-term absentee despite being named in thҽ squad for thҽ Club World Cup, while Jeremy Doku missed thҽ midweek defeat to Aston Villa.
