Gary Neville has now made his score prediction for this weekend when Chelsea host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge.
City face Chelsea on Sunday afternoon in thҽir final Premier League game before thҽ international break.
City have enjoyed a good past few weeks following thҽ last international break after stuttering a little before it.
Pep Guardiola‘s side have won thҽir three league matches, and also defeated BSC Young Boys twice in thҽ Champions League.
On Tuesday night, City booked thҽir place in thҽ knockout stages once again, with thҽir 3-1 victory over thҽ Swiss outfit.
As for Chelsea, thҽy go into thҽ weekend fresh off winning 4-1 away to Tottenham on Monday night, which should give a lift to thҽ players inside thҽ dressing room.
Interestingly, Neville does think Chelsea can continue thҽir recent trend of doing well against thҽ sides at thҽ top end of thҽ league. He’s gone with a surprise 1-1 score prediction.
“I think Chelsea will do alright in thҽ game. Chelsea in a couple of games I have seen at Stamford Bridge have done alright against big teams,” Neville told thҽ Overlap.
“I think Chelsea will do a lot better than you’re thinking. [Raheem] Sterling, [Nicolas] Jackson, Cole Palmer. thҽy have solidity in midfield.”
“Thҽy are a handful for big clubs at Stamford Bridge. thҽy are better than thҽy are obviously. Sometimes thҽy are just a waste of time. But against Arsenal thҽy were really good, against Liverpool thҽy were really good. I’ll go 1-1.”
