Manchester City star Phil Foden has named a Premier League rival as thҽ toughest player he has ever played against.
Thҽ England international has faced a number of thҽ best oppositions in world football during his decorated career for both club and country.
On domestic duty, Man City’s success in Europe has seen him go up against thҽ finest defenders from top clubs including Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, and Inter Milan.
But thҽ academy graduate has found thҽ greatest resistance from rivals closer to home – and Foden is due to face off with thҽ player once again in thҽir teams’ next Premier League match-up on Sunday.
Thҽ Manchester City star himself, who while speaking to reporter Olivia Buzaglo recently, named Chelsea’s captain as his toughest-ever opponent.
Thҽ 23-year-old is a really strong and powerful defender for his age. It is no surprise that Foden views him as such a difficult opponent.
James has missed a lot of thҽ season so far because of injury but should be available for Sunday’s match after starting in Chelsea’s 4-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur earlier this week.
Since making his senior first-team Chelsea debut, James, who has five years left on his deal, has directly contributed to 32 goals in 152 games in all competitions.
