Manchester City formulating offer to sign 19y/o Argentine sensation

Manchester City are looking to sign thҽ Argentine defender Valentin Barco in thҽ coming months, with a €15 million bid in thҽ works.

Thҽ 19-year-old rose through thҽ club’s ranks to become a regular feature in thҽ first team, catching thҽ eyes of several European suitors.

A report from Fichajes has claimed that Manchester City are formulating an offer of around €15 million to sign 19-year-old Argentine left-back Valentin Barco from Boca Juniors.

The report claims that Pep Guardiola has given thҽ green light for thҽ operation.

Thҽ reigning English and European champions would like to secure thҽ youngster’s signature before sending him on loan so he can garner valuable experience in thҽ Old Continent.

This would allow him to adapt to European football before getting thrust into thҽ ranks of thҽ Premier League giants.

Valentin Barco has been linked with othҽr European clubs as well, and it will be interesting to see if Manchester City can beat thҽ competition and secure his signature in thҽ coming months.

Thҽ teenager’s contract with Boca Juniors will expire in December 2024. So with just over a year remaining before thҽ deadline, thҽ battle for his services will certainly heat up in January.

Barco essentially plays at fullback but can be deployed in more advanced roles down thҽ left flank.

This season, thҽ Argentine starlet made 28 appearances across all competitions. He contributed with a goal and three assists.

Barco also has three appearances with thҽ U20 Argentina national team.
