Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola has identified Inter Milan’s Federico Dimarco as a transfer target.
The Italy international is considered to be one of Inter Milan’s most important players, and the Italian club are currently working hard on tying him down to a new contract.
As revealed by Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between Dimarco and Inter are ‘advancing’ and a new deal could be finalised by the end of the year.
Despite this, it has been revealed that Pep Guardiola has admired Federico DiMarco for months and has personally identified him as a transfer target for Manchester City.
This comes from Inter Live.it claiming the Catalan tactician is believed to have been impressed by his performance in Istanbul against the Sky Blues in June.
Interestingly, it is claimed that City would be happy to grant Guardiola his wish next summer, as they believe a £52.4 million offer could be enough to tempt Inter Milan to sell the 25-year-old.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
@MichaelNana: “Should have gone in for him 2 seasons ago, been a baller”
@Littlehomievis1: “Yes!!!!! Finally they talked about him. This guy literally keep me on my feet during the #UCL final. Anytime Bernardo lost the ball, it automatically becomes a counter attack. I like him.”
@nazeef787: “Yesss get him in”
@VictorDarl12237: “Yeah he is so good. But what happens to valentin Barco we not getting him?.”
@MODERNFEIN: “YES completely behind this move.”
@bailey_wynne2: “Good to know there are options if Barco transfer falls through”
@TeacherOfBall: “Don’t need him but he was excellent in the final”
@DaveFarndon: “One of the best attacking full backs in the world. Haaland could certainly benefit, but he’ll want to play regular.”
