Manchester City outline asking price for Bernardo Silva and more transfer rumours

Bernardo Silva could be sold by Manchester City for a substantially lower transfer fee than the valuation set by Etihad Stadium officials last summer.

Silva is the subject of interest for several clubs ahead of the new season and the Champions League winners are said to be growing pessimistic about keeping their key star.

Silva has two years left on his contract at the Etihad Stadium but the Portugal international has been linked with a move away throughout the last two summers.

Barcelona and PSG have been long-time admirers of the midfielder but in recent weeks, Saudi Arabian clubs have been trying to tempt Silva away from Man City.

If the 28-year-old does decide to leave the Manchester club, the Middle East or Paris seems the likely destinations, and Football Insider are reporting that the Premier League champion are ready to accept £45m-50m for the Portuguese star.

Time will tell if Silva will leave the Etihad and should that happen it will be a big blow for Guardiola going into the new season, especially with Ilkay Gundogan also departing his squad, but the City boss is more than capable of replacing both.

Elsewhere, The Guardian reports that City are one of several sides to have expressed an interest in Israel under-21 sensation Oscar Gloukh.

The 19-year-old has spent the last few months at RB Salzburg, having only joined the Austrian side from Maccabi Tel Aviv for €7m in January. His performances for club and country have attracted plenty of interest from Europe’s top clubs, with City joined by the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona.

Gloukh’s Israel under-21s side take on England in the European under-21 Championship semi-finals on Wednesday. The midfielder also starred for his country at last summer’s European under-19 Championship, scoring four goals including one in the final against England.
