Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Achraf Hakimi is on the list of potential replacements for Kyle Walker.
Bayern Munich have chased Kyle Walker since the treble-winner finished the season. The 33-year-old initially was pondering his option and even decided on staying with Man City. The club were even prepared to offer him a new deal.
However, things have changed with Bayern’s concrete interest in the 33-year-old, who is now open to joining the Bavarians. They will still need to agree a fee with Manchester City to sign the England international defender, however a potential transfer has moved significantly closer, after Walker reached a verbal agreement with the Bundesliga club.
It was reported by Fabrizio Romano that the Citizens see the Bayern Munich defender as their number-one replacement for Kyle Walker, who has apparently verbally agreed to join the German club this summer.
According to Football Insider, Achraf Hakimi is on the list of potential replacements for Kyle Walker at Man City this summer.
As per the report, the PSG fullback would be keen on a move to the Etihad and is a favourite of manager Pep Guardiola and his recruitment team.
Hakimi has previously been linked with Manchester City this summer, with the Moroccan international rumoured to be interested in leaving Paris Saint-Germain despite only moving to France for €60 million in 2021.
The 24-year-old full-back is also able to play at left-back, and was directly involved in 11 goals in 39 appearances for PSG last season.
The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
