Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Borussia Dortmund are keen on young forward Carlos Borges.
The 19-year-old is ripped things apart for the Sky Blues’ U-21s side, registering an impressive 25 goals and 16 assists in 33 appearances across all competitions last season.
Borges, a winger by trade is considered as one of the most talented young players from City’s enviable academy, with youth scout Jacek Kulig likening him to Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby.
While Borges is viewed as one of the most naturally talented prospects from the Manchester City academy, he has been linked with a move away from the Club.
It has been reported that Borussia Dortmund are interested in wrapping up a transfer for Manchester City talent.
This comes from the Daily Mail, after the 19-year-old was linked with a move to West Ham United as well as Southampton three months ago.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
@thecityzensfc: “They have spotted another 100million sale in the future..damn”
@Sheggz01: “I have watched him a couple times and I will say he has a great potential,we better don’t sell him outrightly”
@SpartaHozee: “Sad he hasn’t been given a chance. 50% sell on clause, buy back clause & bid matching clauses should be narrated in that contract”
@MCFC_BRANDO: “loan or buy back clause!”
@Thesingingblue: “30m+ with buyback and 20% sell on.. this guy could realistically be a 60m-100m player and either return or make city rich!”
@BallingErling: “Sell him with a buy back clause. I’m pretty sure Dortmund won’t accept a loan deal.”
