Celtic are now considering a new move for Manchester City coach Enzo Maresca as a replacement for Ange Postecoglou.
Ange Postecoglou is set to secure a move to Tottenham Hotspur in the next day or two after emerging as the English Premier League side’s preferred candidate and agreeing terms.
Despite that move being yet to be officially rubber-stamped, that hasn’t stopped speculation over who could replace him from clicking into overdrive.
Former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers, has been touted as a potential candidate, but recent developments suggest that he may not be ready to return to the dugout just yet.
Former Chelsea and Brighton boss Graham Potter and ex-Leeds manager Jesse Marsch have also been namechecked.
But Manchester City coach Maresca is another name on the lips of supporters and the Daily Record is reporting that he has backing within some of the powerbrokers at Parkhead.
It’s claimed he’s one of the options being looked at as the board draw up their possibilities as they look to replace Postecoglou.
Maresca previously managed City’s under-23s but left for a spell in charge at Parma. He’s also been an assistant at West Ham and Sevilla but has been a key part of Guardiola’s backroom team since returning.
