Presenters and pundits for leading UK broadcasting channels have been reminded to watch their language when discussing Manchester City’s ongoing case regarding financial rule breaches. The Premier League charged City with over 100 breaches and lack of cooperation since 2009, leading to an independent commission referral.

Despite the ongoing case, Premier League CEO Richard Masters stated that the situation will resolve itself in the near future. Various media personalities and journalists continue to offer their opinions on the matter, prompting Manchester City to be attentive to public discourse. TalkSport and Sky have reminded their presenters and pundits about the language used when discussing the case.

Rumors on social media suggested that presenter Brent Di Cesare, known as Mark Goldbridge, had received a cease and desist notice from Manchester City over his comments. However, a club source confirmed that there was no legal contact between the Premier League champions and Di Cesare, with plans for him to address the issue on his podcast.
