Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola’s side are keen on signing AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez.

Theo Hernandez has been a sensation for AC Milan since joining the club. The French left-back has been a key player for the Rossoneri, and his performances have caught the attention of Premier League trio.

According to Fichajes – who cite La Gazzetta dello Sport – Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Theo Hernandez, whose market value is €60 million.

The report claims that Milan are going through financial difficulties. In addition, there is a possibility that they could miss out on Champions League qualification. That could force them to sell key players if the right offer is presented.

The newspaper adds that Theo is a profile who ‘fits perfectly within the English style of play’ while the three clubs mentioned are all in need of a new left-back/wing-back in view of the 2022-23 season.

The French defender has the potential to develop into one of the best defenders in the Premier League, and he has already proven his quality for club and country.

If AC Milan are prepared to let the player leave for a reasonable price, he could prove to be an exceptional acquisition for Pep Guardiola’s side.

Manchester City need to bring in a specialist left-back and they have been reliant on Nathan Ake to play as the full-back this season. The Dutchman is the central defender and the signing of Hernandez will allow him to play in his natural role.

The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
