Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola’s side are ‘considering’ a swoop for OGC Nice midfielder and France international Khephren Thuram.

City are actively looking to sign at least one midfielder in the summer window because of doubts over the long-term futures of Ilkay Gundogan, whose contract is due to expire in June, and Bernardo Silva.

Pep Guardiola’s side are interested in Khephren Thuram as they plan their strategy for the upcoming transfer window. Over the years, the 22-year-old has developed into a fine player and has now landed on the the reigning Premier League champions’ radar.

Over the years, Thuram has established himself in the Ligue 1 outfit’s starting lineup. In the current campaign, the youngster has made 40 appearances in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing eight assists.

The 22-year-old was also handed his France international debut in the recent Euro 2024 qualifiers. In the 4-0 win over the Netherlands, the midfielder came on as a substitute in the final minutes of the match.

According to journalist Santi Aouna via footmercato, Manchester City are considering a swoop for promising France midfielder Khephren Thuram following his breakthrough season.

However, they will have to face competition from the Red Devils to acquire the France international’s services. Premier League rivals Liverpool and Ligue 1 giant Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in him.

The French club will demand at least €50M this summer, but are confident of potentially receiving over €60M given the competition for the player.
