‘Get him!’, ‘far better option than Bellingham’ – Man City fans react as Guardiola Keen on ‘world-class’ midfielder Roberto Mancini called ‘a complete player’

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola’s side are ‘keeping a close eye’ on Inter Milan star Nicolo Barella.

Lauded as ‘world-class’ by Steven Gerrard, Barella has been one of Inter and Italy’s most important players in recent years.

The Italian international was on the scoresheet recently as Inter coasted past Benfica 2-0 in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie, and his consistent performances have alerted some of Europe’s top clubs.

According to 90min, Pep Guardiola is looking at the Italy international ahead of the summer window.

90min adds that there’s plenty of European Clubs interest in Barella, whose representatives have previously tested the waters regarding a move to England’s top flight.

Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool and Chelsea are also keeping a close eye on the Inter Milan star, who Roberto Mancini actually branded Barella ‘a complete player’ back in January 2021 when he was managing the national team and working with the midfielder (via Sempre Inter).

However, 90min say Inter have no desire to sell Barella who is under contract until 2026. But it is mentioned that the Italian giants need to raise funds through player sales this summer.
