‘Fair enough’, ‘Plenty of options out there’ – Man City fans react as Redknapp makes ‘close source’ Jude Bellingham claim

Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp has reveals the most intimate desire of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, whom half of Europe wants.

The 19-year-old signed for Dortmund in 2020 from Birmingham City after the Bundesliga outfit beat Man Utd in the race to sign him for around £25m.

Since then, Bellingham has established himself as one of the best young midfielders in the world. He enhanced his reputation further at last year’s World Cup as he shone for England.

Liverpool have been consistently linked with Bellingham over the past couple of years. But his performances this season have seen his valuation skyrocket to around £130m.

This has led to the Premier League club dropping out of the race for the midfielder, who is now out of their price range. Jurgen Klopp suggested publicly, as quoted by GOAL that Liverpool had pulled out of the race to sign the Borussia Dortmund midfielder.

With Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti’s sides touted as the other two elite clubs in Europe that could sign the wonderkid, the question mark remains over his ultimate choice.

Speaking to an interview for the YouTube channel Beyond the Pitch recently, Redknapp claimed that he had it on good authority that Bellingham wanted to join Real Madrid.

“I’ve heard from a source very, very close to Bellingham that he wants to go to Real Madrid,” Redknapp claimed.

Manchester City fans had something to say about Redknapp’s claim on Jude Bellingham preferred club.

@registarodri: “Worst source ever but hopefully its true”

@ManCitizen06: “I’d be okay with that. I would love him but he will cost way too much for what your getting.”

@BringBackEV: “Go for Maddison and MacAllister. Better value for money with a much greater talent.”

@Abhishek_ydv993: “I secretly don’t want Bellingham, Too many star players hardly works.”

@aXtrips: “Fair enough we still got 2 great options : either buy Mac Allister or put Grealish in midfiled and buy Mitoma. A win-win situation for us”

@mancity_talk: “Would’ve liked him at City, but if this is true, not the end of the world. Looking likely that Bernardo will stay as no one will pay the money, so will only have to replace Gundo. Plenty of options out there. Barella, Wirtz, Kovacic, MacAllister, Gavi on a free too ”
