Manchester City and Real Madrid have been handed even greater hope in the pursuit of Jude Bellingham this summer.

Bellingham, who continues to be linked with a move away from the Westfalenstadion, is under contract with Borussia Dortmund until June 2025 as rumours swirl surrounding his future.

Jurgen Klopp has made no secret of his admiration for Bellingham, who many believe is the answer to Liverpool’s glaring midfield issues. However, with Dortmund demanding in excess of £110million for Bellingham, Manchester and Madrid are more likely destinations.

According to David Ornstein for The Athletic, Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham is now deemed more likely to sign for Manchester City or Real Madrid this summer, compared with his chances of joining Liverpool.

It is said that “the anticipated fee, the financial power of rival suitors and their reticence about entering a bidding war at the level expected” has created huge doubt over Jurgen Klopp’s chances.

That suggestion will come as a big disappointment to Liverpool fans who might have been anticipating a big-money move in the summer. especially considering they have strongly linked with Bellingham for some time.

Elsewhere, Manchester City have reportedly made a €12million bid for Croatian wonderkid Luka Vuskovic as they pursue a transfer deal.

The offer has not yet been accepted or rejected by Vuskovic’s club Hajduk Split, according to a report from The Athletic, so it remains to be seen whether or not City can get this exciting signing done.

The Athletic suggest there is already plenty of competition for Vuskovic’s signature, so it won’t necessarily be easy for City to persuade him to pick the Etihad Stadium over other destinations.
