Manchester City has been handed a boost ahead of their match against Arsenal tomorrow, with Erling Haaland reportedly returning to training.
The Norwegian had been subbed off in the game against Aston Villa and was limping, which seemed to suggest he had a problem that could have kept him out for a while.
Manager Pep Guardiola said that his 31-goal top scorer would be assessed after Haaland was replaced by Julian Alvarez at the interval following a collision with Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.
Speaking ahead of the clash against the Gunners, Pep Guardiola said: “We train this afternoon.

“Right now I don’t know [if Haaland will be fit]. Yesterday was about recovery from Aston Villa, that’s all.”
City have now released images from their afternoon training session in which Haaland took part alongside a host of other star players that will offer a significant threat to Arsenal’s defence.
Monday’s workout at the CFA was only a recovery session, but the fact that Haaland was able to join his team-mates out on the grass was seen as a clear sign that he is likely to be fit to face the Gunners.
John Stones looks set to be the only absentee for Guardiola when City arrive at the Emirates Stadium to try and replace the Gunners at the top of the Premier League table.
Losing Haaland would have been a massive blow to City’s hopes of securing the victory that will take them to the top of the table above Arsenal on goal difference, albeit having played a game more.
