Jude Bellingham asking price finally ‘revealed’ amid Man City interest

Dortmund have set an eye-watering asking price for Jude Bellingham, after resigning themselves to the fact that the Englishman is set to leave this summer.

The Bundesliga giants’ star in the middle of the park has been the subject of widespread interest from Europe’s main players ever since his breakthrough in the Birmingham City set-up in 2019.

Dortmund are understandably keen to keep Bellingham, who is under contract with the club until 2025. But there is an expectation he will move on this summer, with a return to the Premier League looking likely.

According to the latest information from the Athletic’s Mario Cortegana and David Ornstein, Manchester City are not believed to be ‘favourites’ for Jude Bellingham, but are ‘certainly interested’ in the England international ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

They write that ‘some in the industry’ feel the former Birmingham City midfielder currently ‘prefers’ Liverpool to the Etihad Stadium as he would be ‘a better fit stylistically’ for Jurgen Klopp’s team.

It is claimed Dortmund’s asking figure will be around €150 million (£132 million). This is even the case with Bellingham’s contract set to expire in June 2025.

Dortmund know this is their last window to achieve a top price for Bellingham given he’s out of contract in 2025. But they hope to spark a bidding war for the midfielder, and will hope that as many suitors made an offer as possible.
