Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club have entered the race to sign West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice in the summer of 2023.

Rice’s performances over the last few years have been exceptional and the England international has quickly become one of the best central midfielders in Europe.

With West Ham struggling towards the bottom of the Premier League, Rice may have to consider leaving the club in order to pursue Champions League football.

According to the Mirror, Manchester City are the latest club to consider making a move for Rice, joining Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester United in the race.

The West Ham United captain is expected to leave the club next summer, with a fee in excess of £100 million mooted.

The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.

“Nope. No way. We’re just fine at CDM. Rodri and Philips. What we need is a full back and a winger. Preferably fast”

“With Phillips and Rodri this doesn’t make sense, unless Pep wants them in a double pivot. Rather us go for Bellingham, we need a more attacking CM over another DM.”

“We don’t need him we already have Rodri and Phillips! Bring some winger with pace and power to surprass defenders.”

“We already have 2dms, one of which being the best in the world and the other being the perfect back up. Obviously Bollcoks this.”
