Manchester City reportedly see Wolverhampton Wanderers’ star Rayan Ait-Nouri as a ‘plausible target’ to resolve their left-back problems.

The reigning champions looked at the Frenchman late in the summer, after their approach to sign Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella fell through.

Meanwhile, Sergio Gomez who City signed instead is ‘not fully trusted to start games yet’ according to The Athletic.

The report claims the 20-year-old defender is seen as a ‘plausible target’ for the full-back department which has been described as a ‘priority’ by the club.

Pep Guardiola is apparently keen to bring in another player to add depth to his squad and Ait-Nouri, who Wolves landed for £10 million, remains a potential target.

City have just one option on either flank, with Kyle Walker on the right and Joao Cancelo on the left, although Nathan Ake can fill in there.

Along with Ait-Nouri, Borussia Dortmund star Raphael Guerreiro is also said to be on the radar, as well as Chelsea defender Ben Chilwell and Arsenal’s Kieran Tierney.

Elsewhere, Manchester City are reportedly ready to offer Jack Grealish as part of a deal for AC Milan winger Rafael Leao.

The England international was on hand to assist Erling Braut Haaland twice last night during City’s 3-1 win over Leeds United, but is still being linked with a move to Italy.

According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, City are prepared to offer Grealish in a deal that would see Leao move in the opposite direction, but the Italian club are not convinced by the move.

It also states that they are not a fan of Grealish’s high wages that stand at £15m and the fact that he is four years older than Leao.
