Man City fans react as club ready to break Jack Grealish fee record for Liverpool target

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims the club would have little concern in paying over £100M for Jude Bellingham.

The 19-year-old’s rise to prominence in such a short space of time has been extraordinary. He left his boyhood club Birmingham City to join Dortmund a couple of years ago. Since then, the teenager has established himself as one of the best young players in Europe.

Certainly, the likelihood of Borussia Dortmund receiving a bid for Bellingham they simply cannot turn down is increasing with each game.

He is all set to spark a major bidding war in the summer of 2023, with many top clubs including Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea vying for his signature from Borussia Dortmund.

According to Journalist Dean Jones via GIVEMESPORT, City have been reasonably cautious about spending huge sums of money on one player but pushed the boat out to sign Jack Grealish and sources indicate they would have little concern in paying over £100m for England’s breakthrough midfielder.

Jones added that there will be a few changes at City in the coming year and Ilkay Gundogan is likely to move on to leave a gap in the squad for a midfielder.

The report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.

“Very good. We need to sign 3 players: midfielder, winger and fullback. Don’t splash majority of our budget on one player. Makes no sense.”

“That amount can get City a Midfielder and two wingers, Alvarez is very good but didn’t cost much.”

“Please get us Enzo instead of Bellingham.”

“Find a midfielder in the region of 60-80M£ like Enzo and spend the rest of the budget on the winger and left-back. End of the story..”
