Manchester City defender Kyle Walker is reportedly confident that he can recover from a groin injury in time for the World Cup in Qatar.
Walker underwent groin surgery after picking up an injury in the Manchester derby earlier this month, putting his World Cup hopes in doubt.
Given the close proximity between the operation date and the start of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, there were fears Kyle Walker would not be fit in time for the World Cup at all.
However, according to the Daily Mail, there is now hope that Walker could be selected in the final 26-man England squad for the World Cup.
It is claimed that reports regarding the Manchester City defender’s recovery progress is understood to have encouraged the England camp.
Walker is almost two weeks into his recovery from groin surgery and is in a race against time to be fit for the tournament that starts in little over four weeks time,
The news shared on twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters.
