Many Liverpool fans are loving footage that has emerged of Erling Haaland and James Milner, following their huge victory over Manchester City on the weekend.
The veteran midfielder was part of the back-line which shut out the prolific Manchester City star.
Milner enjoyed a phenomenal game against the incumbent champions, forming a red wall defined by his and Joe Gomez’s contributions on the right-side of the pitch.
The Englishman made sure he set the tone early on with one fan, @lfccxt, catching the 36-year-old blocking a run from Erling Haaland immediately after the first whistle.
As Mohamed Salah takes the Liverpool kick-off to start the second-half, Milner stands on the centre circle. His eyes on Haaland as he runs from his own half, the 36-year-old sidesteps to ensure their paths will meet.
Milner then braces himself for impact as the Norwegian phenom runs straight through run in a comical moment that’s got fans talking online.

With the ball heading in the direction Haaland’s run was aiming for, Liverpool’s makeshift right-back clearly felt the extra protection was needed.
