Premier League team of the week dominated by Manchester City, with one 9/10 displays

Manchester City continued their unbeaten streak as they hammered Southampton 4-0 at the Etihad Stadium to make it seven wins and two draws from nine games.

The reigning champions have now scored 33 goals this season – 10 more than league leaders Arsenal.

The Gunners have one man in this week’s best XI, as they recorded a 3-2 victory over Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium to retain their place at the top of the table.

Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have two selections each while Leicester City have one player featuring.

Chelsea won 3-0 at home to Wolves to move into the top four while Tottenham bounced back from their defeat to Arsenal with a narrow win at Brighton.

Newcastle enjoyed a fine weekend, as they beat Brentford 5-1 at St James’ Park.

Phil Foden – 8.3: Scored his fifth Premier League goal of the season as City cruised to victory over Southampton. Also provided an assist, while providing four key passes as the reigning champions kept the pressure on Arsenal.

Erling Haaland – 8.03: The Norwegian continued his remarkable goal-scoring form as he put the gloss on Man City’s victory over Southampton. He has 21 goals for club and country in 15 games this season. Remarkable.
