Manchester City supporters on social media were sent into a fit of rage after seeing a moment that they thought went unnoticed against Liverpool.

Liverpool shocked the football world on Sunday by overcoming reigning champions Manchester City in their Premier League clash.

The Reds had been out of form in the league to that point, winning just two of their opening eight games.

But against their old rivals they managed to tap into that electric Anfield atmosphere, turn the form tap back on and grind out a result.

Upon reviewing the highlights of the encounter, many Supporters claimed the Liverpool forward controlled the ball with his hand – and were furious it was not even referred to VAR.

“Hate to say it but that’s not a handball its just a bad angle,” one Man City fan wrote.

While some fans were not convinced of the handball, many tweets denounced the decision and the lack of referral to VAR.

“They checked foden’s offside first, then Haaland’s offside, then Haaland’s foot on Allison, then Haaland’s shirt pull on fabinho. All this while salah‘s handball on his goal wasn’t even looked at”

“Odd how VAR didn’t spot Salah’s handball for his goal but used a million angles to disallow Foden’s goal.”

Salah handball didn’t get checked, ref saw the Haaland/Fabinho challenge didn’t think anything of it – then changes his mind due to VAR and Klopp gets off with abusing the referees. As Pep said – it’s Anfield”
