Erling Haaland is already breaking records at the age of 21, and continues to show no signs of slowing down, let alone stopping.

Haaland seemingly breaks records every time he steps on the pitch for City, with 19 goals in his first 12 games.

He already has 14 Premier League goals in eight games since arriving at Man City in the summer, and is continuing to shine on the European stage too.

He was at it yet again in the Champions League, and while it was no hat-trick this time, he did manage two goals in his side’s Champions League victory against Danish champions FC Copenhagen on Wednesday night.

The brace means he has now equalled Barcelona legends Rivaldo and Luis Suarez on Champions League goals scored.

The former Borussia Dortmund striker was on target within seven minutes of the match, as a ball by Joao Cancelo found its way through to the City hitman, who swept the ball home with his right foot.

Haaland netted again on 34 minutes, when Sergio Gomez’s shot was parried by former Liverpool goalkeeper Kamil Grabara, only for the Norwegian to finish from six yards.

It meant his Champions League goal tally now stands at a remarkable 27 goals in just 22 appearances.

He also becomes the third player to score in each of his first three appearances for an English club in Europe’s elite competition, after Marouane Chamakh for Arsenal and Ferran Torres for Man City.

What other records has he already broken this season?

Haaland has scored 14 goals in his first eight Premier League appearances, taking the old record of Micky Quinn (10) in 1992.

He has already smashed the record held jointly by Quinn, Papiss Cisse and Diego Costa of 11 goals in their first 10 Premier League games – with two games to spare.

His 11 goals in his first seven games were a record, as were his nine goals in his first five games. Those nine goals made him the top scorer in August of any Premier League season.

Haaland is the first player to score a hat-trick in three consecutive home games in the Premier League – against Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and United.

He is the first player to score in his first four away games in the Premier League.

He also broke a few records on his Champions League debut at Sevilla, with a double in a 4-0 win, and more with the late winner against his old side Dortmund.

Haaland became the first player to score multiple times on his Champions League debut for three different clubs – after a hat-trick for Salzburg against Genk and two goals for Dortmund against Paris St-Germain.

That took him to 25 Champions League goals in just 20 games – smashing the old record of Ruud van Nistelrooy and Roberto Soldado, who scored 16 in their first 20 games.

He is the youngest player to score 25 goals in the competition, beating the record of Kylian Mbappe, who in turn took the landmark off Lionel Messi.

His goal against Copenhagen took him to 28 goals in 22 games.
