The 2022 Balon d’Or ceremony is set to take place in Paris on Monday evening (October 17).
This year’s shortlist has been put forward by France Football, with Erling Haaland, Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden are among six Manchester City players that have been nominated for this year’s Ballon d’Or award.
The red carpet will be full of the biggest names in global football in Paris on Monday night as the 2022 Ballon d’Or award winners will be announced.
This year there is a modification in the criteria with organisers France Football confirming that the player performances from the season and not the calendar year would be taken into account.
The 30 man shortlist was confirmed by France Football back in August and Real Madrid and France striker Karim Benzema is highly tipped to scoop the men’s award.

When will the Ballon d’Or winner be announced?
The grand prize will be awarded at the end of the ceremony, which takes place in Paris on Monday, October 17. The ceremony is due to start at 7.30pm (BST).
How can you watch the ceremony?
You can watch the entire ceremony on L’Equipe’s YouTube channel. Its official website will also live stream the awards. The ceremony isn’t currently available on TV, though.
