Erling Haaland focusing on specific training drill to become even more complete

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is paying particular attention to improving his right foot and perfecting ways to utilise it more, to become even more complete.

Haaland has made an electric start to life in England following his £51million switch to the Champions. Only Bournemouth have stopped him scoring in the Premier League so far

Manchester United will become the latest team to be tasked with nullifying a man who has already plundered 14 goals in just 10 games this term.

It has now emerged that the prolific forward is sharpening up his ‘weaker’ foot ahead of his first Manchester derby this weekend.

According to The Daily Mail, Haaland has been ramping up his efforts to try and improve his right foot, with the 22-year-old determined to do whatever he can to ensure his weaker side can be utilised efficiently on a regular basis.

Haaland spent plenty of time working with Dortmund coach and former Bayern Munich striker Alexander Zickler in a bid to hone his ability with his weaker foot.

Zickler had identified the lack of goals Haaland has bagged thought his career with his right foot (just 15) as an area the striker could improve upon after he joined the club, and the duo had put in plenty of work in the form of extra sessions in the 12 months prior to Haaland’s big move.

Haaland has continued to build on that work at the Etihad – even though the prolific forward already looks a certainty to outgun his Premier League rivals in the race for the golden boot.

The training has already yielded results on these shores, too; Haaland has bagged two goals with his right foot so far this term – including a fine strike he netted from outside the box in City’s win over Wolves prior to the international break.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
