Manchester City full-back Issa Kabore has confirmed he wants to stay on at Marseille next season after his loan runs out in June.
The Burkina Faso defender had a lot of interest this summer from various clubs, including clubs in the Premier League.
Southampton and Nottingham Forest had an interest in Kabore, who spent last season on loan with Troyes in the French league.
In an interview with La Provence, Issa Kabore had this to say about his future in regards to returning to Manchester City.
“The idea is to play and to stay at Marseille. It’s not to return to Manchester City. OM are a great club that are going to bring a lot to me. We discussed a bit with Charles (Kaboré) before my transfer. It counted but not that much.”
These Kaboré’s comments were shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

“Fair enough to the nipper. Especially after seeing the others from the EDS having success I’m not shocked he feels that way. Hope the loan goes well ”

“Unfortunately that’s the problem being the best team in world, some won’t have the patience even Foden had to show. Lavia another one showing already maybe he should at least have had more chances, but it’s money back in the bank.”
