Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Villarreal central defender Pau Torres is close to signing for the club.
The Spanish defender has long been linked with a move to England, with both Tottenham and Manchester United strongly linked.
Torres has been linked to Barcelona and Manchester City in recent weeks when Nathan Ake’s deal to Chelsea was ongoing, and even Juventus as a Matthijs De Ligt replacement, but reports from Spain are suggesting Manchester City are now favourites.
Villarreal based journalist Xavi Jorquera Marquez reported that Manchester City offer Pau Torres the best conditions and are favourites to sign the player this summer.
According to Futvillarreal, sources close to Villarreal believe Pau Torres is close to signing for Manchester City, with the possibility of the deal, right now 90% closed.
This report shared on Twitter gathered a number of replies from a wide range of Man City supporters, who were not shy in sharing their thoughts on the matter.

“With Ake staying Not sure how this makes sense….unless Ake moving to LB full time and Torres coming in to cover at CB?…Still hoping Cucurella gets done soon as feel he”s been main target for a while.”
