Manchester City goalkeeper Arijanet Muric is on the process of completing a permanent transfer to Burnley, according to reports.
An academy product of Manchester City, Muric has not broken into the first team picture at the Citizens and instead has spent most of his senior career on loan.
Last season, he went on loan to Adana Demirspor in Turkey and managed 32 appearances for them while keeping ten clean sheets.
Manchester City have already seen one academy product goalkeeper leave them permanently this season, Gavin Bazunu, and now they are set to see another leave.
According to Daily Mail journalist Jack Gaughan, the 23-year-old is close to sealing a permanent transfer away to Burnley in the Championship with the fee being in the region of £3m.
The Clarets have been on the lookout for a new goalkeeper since parting ways with Nick Pope and Wayne Hennessey.
MailOnline’s report says that Muric has been ‘inspired’ to join the Clarets by Kompany, who has made a number of impressive signings so far this summer.
The report states that Muric is highly regarded at City – who are including a buyback option – and produced a string of encouraging performances as they won the Carabao Cup in 2019.
Muric will be hoping to further his development with Burnley and help them gain promotion back to the Premier League.
Clarets manager Vincent Kompany has already bolstered his squad by securing the services of a host of fresh faces this summer.
Ian Maatsen, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Scott Twine, CJ Egan-Riley, Samuel Bastien, Luke McNally and Josh Cullen are all set to feature for Burnley next season after sealing moves to Turf Moor.
