Leicester City is expected to do business with Manchester City during the upcoming summer transfer window. The two clubs have a history of exchanging players, with recent deals involving a central defender and a new head coach. Enzo Maresca, who left Manchester City to become the head coach at Leicester City and guided them to Premier League promotion, is one notable example.

Manchester City insider ‘Tolmie’s Hairdoo’ has revealed that Leicester is likely to pursue a deal for James McAtee, a highly-rated playmaker who spent the current season on loan at Sheffield United. The report suggests that Leicester could secure McAtee’s transfer for an initial fee of over £20 million, along with a sell-on and buy-back clause. Manchester City also have other players with uncertain futures, such as Josh Wilson-Esbrand, Maximo Perrone, and Kalvin Phillips.

Phillips, who is currently on loan at West Ham United, could potentially return to Leeds United if they secure promotion to the Premier League. Despite his time with Manchester City, Phillips may be open to reuniting with his former club. Manchester City will have to navigate various player transfers during the summer market, including McAtee and Phillips, to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
