Plenty of Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to react to comments made by Jack Grealish on his thoughts on Erling Haaland.
The Norway striker joked that Grealish will have a tougher time living up to his own £100m price tag.
Haaland made the switch to the Premier League champions from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £51 million ($60m), almost half of the £100m ($121m) transfer fee City paid to sign Grealish from Aston Villa last year.
A lot is expected of the Norway international following his exploits at Dortmund and Jack Grealish who is the most expensive English player of all time.
Grealish kicked off pre-season for City in encouraging fashion, as one of the top performers in the friendly against Club America as he regularly danced around the Mexican defence and set up Kevin De Bruyne for the first goal.
Speaking to Jack Gaughan of the Daily Mail, Grealish revealed that Haaland himself is well aware of the expectations that have been placed on both men, and has even poked fun at the subject, saying: “Once he reaches full fitness, he will be unstoppable.”
“He actually said to me, ‘I’m only half the price of you so I haven’t got the pressure!’ He’s so down to earth and quite up front with the way he is.”
These Grealish comments were shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

Haaland is probably telling Jack not to put too much pressure on himself. They will be good partners to each other. (Video source unknown)pic.twitter.com/ANumeyQX1L
