Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Pep Guardiola’s side will tell Chelsea to forget about signing Nathan Ake on the cheap, with the club having no plans to sell the player.
It was recently reported that the Dutch international is high up on Thomas Tuchel’s transfer wish list this summer, as the Stamford Bridge club look to strengthen at the back.
In addition, another claim was made about how Manchester City had informed the player that he is free to depart the Etihad Stadium, should the right proposal be made.
Manchester Evening News reported this week that Manchester City have no current intention to sell Nathan Ake, and would not consider selling him this summer without having a replacement lined up.
According to the latest information from The Sun, Man City will tell Chelsea to forget about signing Nathan Ake on the cheap, with the club having no plans to sell the player.
The report mentions that Newcastle were quoted £50M earlier this summer, and even if Chelsea bid that much, Man City would want a replacement first.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

“This is what we suspected all along – all the news from other sources like Fab saying otherwise made no sense to begin with.
And this is from Martin Blackburn, he’s a Tier 1 source for City. This basically has come from the club itself.”
