‘Barca are dreaming’ – Man City fans react as Barcelona believe Bernardo Silva signing can be completed for €65 Million

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims officials at Barcelona believe that they can strike a deal with Pep Guardiola’s side for Bernardo Silva – at a much lower price than the Etihad club are believed to be wanting this summer.

After five years in the Premier League he feels like his cycle has finished in England. The 27-year-old Portuguese international would like to leave City in the current summer transfer window for personal reasons, with Barca his dream club.

The Portuguese midfielder is a key target for Barcelona, with manager Xavi said to be ‘obsessed’ with the 27-year-old.

Despite Pep Guardiola reiterating that the Citizens wish to keep hold of the former SL Benfica and AS Monaco midfielder, the speculations refuse to go away.

This time it is Barcelona-centred journalist Gerard Romero who claims a deal between Barcelona and Manchester City for Bernardo Silva is being described as ‘not easy’.

Firstly, it is stated that the Catalan club would have to ‘convince’ Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, and the club’s Director of Football Txiki Begiristain to sell the player – which is something they are far from inclined to do any time soon.

From the viewpoint of the Camp Nou, Romero reports that the La Liga club believe they can sign the Manchester City star for anywhere between €65 million and €70 million, accompanied by ‘some low bonuses’.

However, and unsurprisingly so, the hunt for Bernardo Silva is being described as ‘the furthest right now’ from completion out of all the deals being worked on by Barcelona chiefs.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

“What a shame, Barcelona. I know City won’t be selling him for less than €90m-€100m . Whatever you believe won’t necessarily be true..”

“Barca are dreaming. They haven’t got the pull. Plus No money, can’t afford his wages. This is Spanish Media trying to do what they did with Mbappe just for him to stay at PSG. Silva won’t move 100%. More chances of Barca crippling and becoming CFG club then silva moving to Barca..”

“The sense of entitlement of Barca is something else. They are holding fdg for €85m and think they can get bernado for €65m? If city allows that..we are truly horrible in selling.”

“If we let them get Bernardo for that price we have to have a protest. They are selling Frenkie four €85m and he doesn’t even start for them they don’t even want him. Bernardo he is Key to our squad and we want him and he has 3 years left on contract so £100m easy.”

“They will let him go for 70. You will all see.. This is Txiki we are talking about – ex Barcelona player and with all the connections there he will do them a favour. Hopefully Khaldoon doesn’t allow this honestly.”

“Sheikh should caution pep and Txiki, enough of this Barcelona romance.”
