Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims a trio of the club’s most promising youngsters will be handed the chance to earn their place in the first team squad next season.
Guardiola will hope to use academy graduate Cole Palmer more often next season as the forward looked incredibly promising last year before struggling with injuries.
And the Wythenshawe teenager will not be the only prospect to get a shot, with McAtee, Delap and Kayky having the opportunity to show the manager they deserve to stay in Manchester.
According to Manchester Evening News, Liam Delap, James McAtee and Kayky are set to head on Man City’s US tour to earn their place in the first team squad next season.
City play Club America and Bayern Munich this summer before the Community Shield against Liverpool, but performances in training sessions will also be analysed in firming up plans for the squad.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.

“Delap won’t really get in the team considering we’ve signed 2 strikers so he should go on loan and we should focus on giving Palmer and mcatee a Foden role.”

“I’d happily take 20-25m for Liam Delap with a buyback clause. Think we can cash in on him. Kayky will head out on loan, not ready yet for me. James McAtee is the one player alongside Cole Palmer I’d love to see make a breakthrough this season. He’s destined for the top.”
