‘Good decision’ – Man City fans react to the Club’s stance on Bukayo Saka transfer rumours

Manchester City have distanced themselves from reports they are to make a move for Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka.

The 20-year-old England international has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in the Premier League at the Emirates after another productive season. He is also already a fixture in the England squad under Gareth Southgate and can expect to go to the World Cup at the end of the year.

The rising star is entering the final two years of his contract in North London, and a failure to agree terms this summer would leave the Gunners vulnerable to having to accept a knock-down price next summer rather than risk losing the player on a free in 2024.

Both Manchester City and Liverpool have been linked with a grab for the winger, but Pep Guardiola’s side have poured cold water on suggestions he is heading their way, stressing they are not in the mix for the 20-year-old’s signature.

According to Simon Bajkowski for MEN, Man City have distanced themselves from reports that they are considering a move for Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka claiming the forward is not in their plans for this or subsequent transfer windows.

City, who have landed their main summer transfer target in Erling Haaland and a second striker in Julian Alvarez, remain in the market for two more players with a defensive midfielder and a left-back priorities. That’s with Fernandinho departing and Oleksandr Zinchenko’s future uncertain.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
