Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Inter Milan have turned down an offer for Alessandro Bastoni from the club.
Bastoni is experiencing a solid campaign in Italian football after producing a series of dominant displays at the heart of Inter’s backline.
The 23-year-old has found the back of the net once and grabbed three assists in 43 matches for the Italian outfit this season across multiple competitions.
It was reported last month that Alessandro Bastoni is ‘highly appreciated’ by Manchester City, and the player has an ‘admirer above all’ in Pep Guardiola.
According to the latest report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter have already turned down a €60m offer from Manchester City for Alessandro Bastoni, but the bid could rise and create a real dilemma.
Inter Milan’s plan is to keep hold of the 23-year-old Italy international, however, the report insists that they would not be able to resist if the offers got much higher.
It is no surprise that Pep Guardiola is interested in Bastoni, as this defender is considered the heir to Leonardo Bonucci with similar characteristics, acting as almost a deep-lying playmaker thanks to his eye for a long pass.
The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra and it attracted plenty of attention from the club’s supporters.
