‘Perfect club for him’, ‘would be a great move’ – Many fans react as Premier League club in advanced talks to sign Man City star

Manchester City fans have been reacting to a post on Twitter which relays a report that claims Gabriel Jesus is in ‘very advanced talks’ with Arsenal over a transfer.

With rumours continuing to swirl surrounding Manchester City’s interest in Erling Haaland, the future of Gabriel Jesus have been thrown into major doubt.

The 25-year-old forward – despite having such a promising start to the campaign – has found minutes hard to come by as of late.

The €50m-rated star hasn’t cemented his place in the Man City team this season, with Pep Guardiola often opting for a false nine rather than an out and out striker. He has struggled this season, scoring just three goals.

As a result, the Brazilian continues to be linked with a summer move away from the Etihad Stadium, with recent report claiming Jesus is set to look for a move away this summer.

According to journalist Jorge Nicola as relayed by Sport Witness, the Manchester City player is in ‘very advanced talks’ with the Gunners regarding a transfer.

Nicola points out that Jesus, at 25 years of age, wants to play regularly, which isn’t the case at the moment, so he can make Brazil’s squad for the World Cup, described as a ‘dream’ of his.

The report adds that if Arsenal can’t reach an agreement with their Premier League rivals, they would just wait until Jesus’ contract expires and then sign him on a free. However, the belief is that Man City are expected to ask for a small compensation this summer.

The report was shared on Twitter by City Xtra, and it attracted plenty of attention from the fans, who took to the social media platform to share their thoughts on the speculation.

“A right decision from the club, he took the full opportunity and this season he is the only striker and I don’t mind having a rival team in favor of the club and the player. Thank you Gabriel good luck.”

“Perfect club for him. Gabi deserves the best. He came without knowing a single English word and now he’s leaving maybe with a Half English Child. Even if he couldn’t impact all the games yet he was one of the best guys there. He always tried his best. All he was asked of..”
