Manchester City keeping an eye on the situation of €50m-rated South American forward

Premier League champions Manchester City have been linked to a sensational swoop for Juventus star Paulo Dybala in the summer.

Dybala moved to Juventus in 2015 after impressing at Palermo in Italy, and since then, the forward has grown into one of their best goalscoring outlets in Serie A.

However, the player could be set for a departure in the summer when his current deal with the Old Lady expires.

Having previously been expected to sign a new contract with the Italian giants, it would appear that the 28-year-old could now be set to leave as a free agent at the end of the season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport as relayed by Get Football News Italy, Man City are set to be keeping an eye on Paulo Dybala’s situation in Turin, with contract talks soon to be held between the forward’s camp and Juventus ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Argentine’s initial wish is to stay at the Bianconeri and he would even be happy to finish his career there. However, Juventus are only going to propose a salary which will be significantly less than what the parties were about to agree on in 2021.

It has been previously suggested that while Dybala isn’t keen on playing in England, Manchester City are the only club for which he can make an exception, with Atletico Madrid keeping tabs on the attacker too.

At 28, the €50m-rated forward is entering the prime years of his playing career, and given the fact that he could be available for free, it would be a no-brainer to sign a supremely talented and proven international.

It isn’t often that a player as good as Dybala becomes available on a free transfer, so this is a very unique market opportunity.

Whoever wins the race for the South American will have already wrapped up the signing of the summer award, before a ball is kicked.
